Breakout Prop Firm review: crypto challenge from $20

Breakout is the cheapest entry in this list and the clearest about its plan structure: three one-step evaluations, Classic capped at $100K and Pro or Turbo up to $200K, with fees running from $20 for a 5K Turbo to $800 for a 100K Classic. Drawdown is static, payouts are on demand 24/7 from $50 in USDC on Ethereum, and the 90/10 split is a paid upgrade at checkout rather than a performance ladder.

Every figure below comes from Breakout Prop Firm's own published terms, linked at the foot of this page. We have not traded this account and this is not a rating out of five.

The rules that decide whether you pass

Breakout Prop Firm sells 1-step / 2-step challenges; on its $25k account, hit 9% (1-Step Turbo) before breaching 3% (Turbo), static. Leverage is 1:100 and the account is traded on Breakout app (firm platform). Crypto (perpetual futures); the firm also lists equities and commodities are available, so the instrument set is broad enough that position sizing matters more than the rules do.

Not needed to buy or trade an evaluation; verification runs through SumSub from the dashboard and must clear before the funded account is enabled.

“KYC is mandatory before you can access your funded account or receive payouts.”

Two practical warnings for this structure. A 3% (Turbo) / 5% (Pro) / 6% (Classic), static drawdown is tighter than it looks: a 3% overnight move on a large position is normal in crypto and can end the account in one candle. And the profit split of 80% (90% at checkout) applies to profit you withdraw, not to the account balance, so plan the first payout before you start rather than after you pass.

Payouts and verification

How it pays

Rails: USDC (ERC-20)

Timing: On demand, 24/7

Minimum $50 after the split. Paid in USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20) per the firm's pricing page.

Before you request

Verification: Before activation - Not needed to buy or trade an evaluation; verification runs through SumSub from the dashboard and must clear before the funded account is enabled.

Restricted: Afghanistan, Belarus, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Central African Republic, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nicaragua, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Zimbabwe

Support: what this firm publishes about its own support - channels, stated hours, any response-time claim in its own words.

Confirm the network for any USDC withdrawal and the minimum payout on the firm's dashboard before you trade to the target; those two settings, not the split, are what turn a payout into a delay.

Strengths and trade-offs

What it does well

  • Cheapest entry here at $20 for a 5K Turbo evaluation
  • Static drawdown, which does not trail your profit
  • 90/10 split available as a one-off checkout upgrade
  • On-demand payouts 24/7 with a $50 minimum

What costs you

  • Standard split is 80/20, not 90/10 - the headline needs an extra fee
  • Payouts are USDC on Ethereum only, so gas applies
  • KYC is required before the account is activated, and it is run by SumSub
  • Combined funded capital is capped at $200,000 across accounts

What traders like, and what they don't

Trustpilot 4.5/5 from 1,221 reviews, as at 2026-10-25 - the review page. That number is theirs, not ours.

What they do not

  • No API access, so manual order entry only, which rules the firm out for anyone automating
  • The 0.04% per-side commission plus daily funding is often discovered only after the evaluation starts
  • The terms exclude sanctioned jurisdictions and little else, so traders in restricted countries find out at KYC rather than before paying

These are reviewers' claims, sorted into praise and complaints, not our verdict: a complaint is not proof and a five-star review is not verification. Our own assessment of the terms is above, in What works and What costs you. Read on 2026-10-25; the sources are the firm's review page, plus Reddit threads where noted.

Who it suits, and who it does not

Suits: Traders who want a static drawdown and will pay once to upgrade to a 90/10 split.

Does not suit: Crypto-only traders who want a firm whose entire model is built around crypto.

How it compares with the rest of the list

At the $25k size Breakout Prop Firm sits at $95 for its 1-Step Turbo account with a split of 80% (90% at checkout) and a 3% (Turbo) / 5% (Pro) / 6% (Classic), static drawdown. The firms that undercut it charge less for the challenge but usually ask for a tighter drawdown or a one-step target, and the firms that publish wider room to trade ask more up front. If the deciding factor for you is the split rather than the fee, read the side-by-side comparison before choosing.
