Which is cheaper, size by size
Breakout Prop Firm is cheaper at 3 of the 3 sizes where both publish a price. Comparing the entry tier alone hides that: fee ladders do not scale at the same rate, so the cheaper start can become the dearer account.
| Account size | Breakout Prop Firm | DNA Funded | Cheaper |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25k | $95 | $179 | Breakout Prop Firm |
| $50k | $180 | $319 | Breakout Prop Firm |
| $100k | $330 | $619 | Breakout Prop Firm |
What the fee buys, and what it takes back
Put differently, the difference is 0.9 more of the cheapest evaluation. The fee is also only the entry cost: at the headline split, Breakout Prop Firm has to make $106 of profit before the attempt has paid for itself, and $199 at DNA Funded.
| Measure | Breakout Prop Firm | DNA Funded |
|---|---|---|
| Fee for a $25k attempt | $95 | $179 |
| Fee per $1,000 of account | $3.80 | $7.16 |
| Profit needed to win the fee back at the headline split | $106 | $199 |
| Account destroyed on a bad day (drawdown in dollars) | $750 (3%) | $1,500 (6%) |
| Drawdown type | static | unstated |
Cost per $1,000, the break-even profit and the cost of 1% of drawdown are our arithmetic from each firm's published fee, split and limit; each drawdown figure is the firm's own percentage for the plan that fee buys, applied to a $25,000 balance.
The rule that ends most attempts
Breakout Prop Firm measures drawdown from a fixed floor, while DNA Funded trails it - so a profitable run can leave the second account closer to its line than the balance suggests. At $25k there is $750 more room at DNA Funded ($1,500 against $750), which is 3.0 percentage points of the account.
Getting the money out
Breakout Prop Firm pays USDC (ERC-20), DNA Funded pays Crypto (USDT, BTC and other coins) / International bank transfer. Timing is not the same either: On demand, 24/7 against 14-day cycle, 24-48h processing.
Worth checking against your own cash-flow: a fast rail that pays into an account you then have to move is not the same as one that lands where you spend it.
Where they actually differ
- Verification differs: Breakout Prop Firm verifies identity before the account activates, DNA Funded verifies identity before the first payout.
- Payout rails are not the same: Breakout Prop Firm pays USDC (ERC-20), DNA Funded pays Crypto (USDT, BTC and other coins) / International bank transfer.
- the profit target at $25k runs 9% (1-Step Turbo) at Breakout Prop Firm against 10% (1 Phase Evaluation) at DNA Funded.
- allocation ceiling, Breakout Prop Firm: $200,000 across all accounts; DNA Funded: $600,000.
The decision rule
At $25k, if you routinely risk more than 6% of the account in a session, Breakout Prop Firm is the one that ends the attempt, not DNA Funded. If the first attempt is a test rather than a plan, Breakout Prop Firm at $20 costs less to be wrong about. If identity documents are the sticking point, note that Breakout Prop Firm verifies identity before the account activates and DNA Funded verifies identity before the first payout.
