Crypto Fund Trader review: crypto challenge from $40

Crypto Fund Trader is the most conventional option in this list: a two-step evaluation, unlimited time, an 80% split and a $300,000 ceiling on allocation. It is also the only firm here that puts the same challenge on three platforms, including MT5 and Bybit, so you can keep the terminal you already trade. If you want a slower, rules-light path and you are not in the US, it is the least complicated of the four to evaluate.

Every figure below comes from Crypto Fund Trader's own published terms, linked at the foot of this page. We have not traded this account and this is not a rating out of five.

Read from the firm's own shop and each product page. Every format is sold at its listed price: no sale or discount is applied anywhere, so no row carries a second figure. Both formats are priced from 5k to 200k. Drawdown at 25k by format: Evaluation 10% overall with a 5% daily limit and an 8% then 5% target; Accelerated 6% trailing with 4% daily and a 10% target.

Read from the firm's shop: 25k Evaluation $240, the two-phase plan whose rules this record quotes; its Accelerated one-phase account is $219. 5k starts at $40 (Accelerated) and $58 (Evaluation).

Every plan, its own rules

Crypto Fund Trader sells two models and the rules are not interchangeable.

Crypto Fund Trader: target, drawdown, daily limit and split, plan by plan
PlanProfit targetMax drawdown Daily lossSplitEntry fee
Accelerated 10% Maximum trailing loss 6% - set at 6% of the initial balance and moves up as the account reaches new highs Maximum daily loss 4% Live stage 80% $40 at $5,000
Evaluation 8% (Phase 1) then 5% (Phase 2) Maximum overall loss 10% - fixed at 10% of the initial balance Maximum daily loss 5% Live stage 80% $58 at $5,000

Each of the two states its own daily loss limit beside the total drawdown.

Entry fee is the cheapest size each plan is sold at, the same rows the ladder above prices. Every figure is the firm's own wording, read from the plan pages linked under Sources.

The rules that decide whether you pass

Crypto Fund Trader sells 1-step / 2-step / instant challenges; on its $25k account, hit 8% then 5% (Evaluation) before breaching 10% total (Evaluation). Leverage is 1:100 and the account is traded on MT5, Match-Trader, Bybit. 540+ crypto pairs, 39 forex pairs, indices, commodities and stocks are available, so the instrument set is broad enough that position sizing matters more than the rules do.

Evaluation runs without identity checks; KYC is done from the dashboard, Withdrawals section, once the simulated funded account is reached.

“Yes. Before any scholarship reward can be processed, your KYC must be completed and approved.”

Drawdown by product
ProductTypeRule in the firm's terms
AcceleratedTrailing6% trailing from the initial balance, moving up with new highs; 4% daily.
EvaluationStatic10% fixed to the initial balance; 5% daily.

Two practical warnings for this structure. A 10% total drawdown (Evaluation) sounds generous until you measure it against the volatility of the coins you trade: a 3% overnight move on a large position is normal in crypto and can take most of that in one candle. And the profit split of 80% applies to profit you withdraw, not to the account balance, so plan the first payout before you start rather than after you pass.

Payouts and verification

How it pays

Rails: BTC / USDT / USDC / Deel

Timing: On demand after the first payout

The first payout follows the firm's scheduled cycle; later payouts are requested on demand.

Before you request

Verification: Before payout - Evaluation runs without identity checks; KYC is done from the dashboard, Withdrawals section, once the simulated funded account is reached.

Restricted: United States

Support: what this firm publishes about its own support - channels, stated hours, any response-time claim in its own words.

Confirm the network for any USDT, USDC or BTC withdrawal and the minimum payout on the firm's dashboard before you trade to the target; those two settings, not the split, are what turn a payout into a delay.

Strengths and trade-offs

What it does well

  • Unlimited time on the evaluation - no deadline forcing rushed trades
  • Two-step structure with a lower first target than most one-step challenges
  • Crypto payouts in BTC, USDT or USDC, plus Deel for fiat
  • Scaling programme advertised up to a $1.5M allocation

What costs you

  • Flat 80% split - no route to 90% shown on the published terms
  • KYC required before the first payout
  • Restricted for US traders
  • Spread and commission costs apply on top of the challenge fee

What traders like, and what they don't

What they do not

  • One reviewer reports leverage cut to 1:5 after one or two payouts of $3-4k, which effectively ends the account
  • The same reviewer says the restriction stayed on the account, so buying a new challenge did not lift it

These are reviewers' claims, sorted into praise and complaints, not our verdict: a complaint is not proof and a five-star review is not verification. Our own assessment of the terms is above, in What works and What costs you. Read on 2026-10-25; the sources are the firm's review page.

Who it suits, and who it does not

Suits: Traders who want a two-step evaluation with no time limit and are happy with an 80% split.

Does not suit: Traders outside the US who need a 90% split, or anyone who wants to avoid KYC entirely.

How it compares with the rest of the list

At the $25k size Crypto Fund Trader sits at $240 for its Evaluation account with a split of 80% and a 10% total drawdown (Evaluation). The firms that undercut it charge less for the challenge but usually ask for a tighter drawdown or a one-step target, and the firms that publish wider room to trade ask more up front. If the deciding factor for you is the split rather than the fee, read the side-by-side comparison before choosing.
