Review

AquaFunded review: crypto challenge from $15

AquaFunded runs the broader programme: five entry models from $20, 90% splits that can be bought up to 100%, a genuine 24-business-hour payout guarantee and 24/7 crypto CFDs at zero commission. The catch is that crypto is a side asset class at 1:2 leverage and the standalone crypto brand is still 'Coming Soon', so crypto-only traders get little that a forex account does not already give them.

Every figure below comes from AquaFunded's own published terms, linked at the foot of this page. We have not traded this account and this is not a rating out of five.

The four numbers

  • Cheapest challenge$15 for a 5,000 account$7.80 per $1,000 at the $25k size
  • Profit split90% (100% with add-on)$217 of profit to clear the fee

  • Drawdown and rules6% max trailing, 3% daily (1-Step Standard)$1,500 of room on a $25k balance

Every figure in this panel comes from AquaFunded's own pages, linked in the sections below. Where a firm publishes nothing, this says so rather than filling the gap.

Fees are the cart total the firm's own checkout charges for each model and size, read from the add-to-cart link its calculator builds for that row (MetaTrader 5; the calculator prices its other platforms the same). Its calculator prints a higher list price on most rows, $227 against $194.93 for the 1 Step at 25k, so this ladder quotes the amount charged rather than the advertised figure; three 2 Step rows charge a little above their own list.

"List" is the firm's own advertised price for that row - a calculator figure, the regular price in its checkout, or the price a code it publishes is applied to - where the fee charged is different; the fee beside it is what its checkout takes.

Every plan, its own rules

AquaFunded sells eight models and the rules are not interchangeable. The same menu holds a 3% limit beside a 10% one.

AquaFunded: target, drawdown, daily limit and split, plan by plan
PlanProfit targetMax drawdown Daily lossSplitEntry fee
1-Step Standard 9% 6% max trailing 3% daily 90% (100% with add-on) $57.08 at $5,000
1-Step Pro 6% 6% max trailing (locks at start balance) 3% daily 90% (100% with add-on) $59 at $5,000
2-Step Standard 8% then 5% 8% max total 5% daily 90% (100% with add-on) $30.15 at $5,000
2-Step Pro 10% then 5% 10% max trailing 5% daily 90% (100% with add-on) $15 at $5,000
3-Step Standard 6% each of three steps 8% max total 4% daily 90% (100% with add-on) $77 at $10,000
Aqua Man 2% 6% max trailing (locks at start balance) 3% daily 90% (100% with add-on) $49 at $2,500
Instant Funding Standard No target: no evaluation stage 3% max trailing No daily limit 90% (100% with add-on) $30.67 at $2,500
Instant Funding Pro No target: no evaluation stage 6% max trailing 3% daily 90% (100% with add-on) $33.34 at $2,500

Seven of the eight state a daily loss limit of their own, and the other one states there is none.

Entry fee is the cheapest size each plan is sold at, the same rows the ladder above prices. Every figure is the firm's own wording, read from the plan pages linked under Sources.

The rules that decide whether you pass

AquaFunded sells 1-step / 2-step / 3-step / instant / pay later challenges; on its $25k account, hit 9% (1-Step Standard) before breaching 6% max trailing, 3% daily (1-Step Standard). Leverage is 1:100 forex / 1:20 indices / 1:20 commodities / 1:2 crypto (evaluation); 1:50 forex / 1:2 crypto (funded) and the account is traded on MatchTrader, TradeLocker, MetaTrader 5, cTrader (TradingView charts). Forex pairs, indices, commodities and crypto CFDs on the CFD accounts (crypto 24/7 at 1:2 leverage); separate futures product via AquaFutures are available, so the instrument set is broad enough that position sizing matters more than the rules do.

NOT PUBLISHED, not 'none': the terms and conditions (~41,000 characters, two identical copies) contain no mention of KYC, identity, verification, passport or proof of address, and the help centre has no verification article. The payout rules list no identity step. Absence of a clause is not proof that documents are never requested.

“To request a payout, the account balance must be above the initial account balance, there must be no rule violations, and all trades and pending orders must be closed.”

Source: the firm's own page, read 2026-11-08. Our classification: Not stated by firm.

Two practical warnings for this structure. A 6% max trailing, 3% daily drawdown (1-Step Standard) is tighter than it looks: a 3% overnight move on a large position is normal in crypto and can end the account in one candle. And the profit split of 90% (100% with add-on) applies to profit you withdraw, not to the account balance, so plan the first payout before you start rather than after you pass.

Payouts and verification

How it pays

Rails: Crypto (BTC, ETH, USDC ERC20/TRC20) / Rise (bank transfer or crypto)

Timing: Bi-weekly, 24 business-hour guarantee

First reward is requestable 14 days after the first trade on the funded account (7-day add-on available); approved payouts not processed within 24 business hours earn an extra $1,000, and all payouts carry a 3% processing fee.

Before you request

Verification: Not stated by firm - NOT PUBLISHED, not 'none': the terms and conditions (~41,000 characters, two identical copies) contain no mention of KYC, identity, verification, passport or proof of address, and the help centre has no verification article. The payout rules list no identity step. Absence of a clause is not proof that documents are never requested.

Restricted: Cuba, Iran, Syria, Vietnam, Kenya, Albania, Algeria, North Korea, Senegal, Myanmar, Russia, Belarus, Sudan, South Sudan, Venezuela, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Thailand (instant only, max $50k), Brazil (instant only, max $50k), Bulgaria (instant only, max $50k), Japan (instant only, max $50k), Jordan (instant only, max $50k), Singapore (instant only, max $50k), Malaysia (instant only, max $50k), Indonesia (instant only, max $50k), Philippines (instant only, max $50k)

Support: what this firm publishes about its own support - channels, stated hours, any response-time claim in its own words.

Confirm the network for any USDC, BTC or ETH withdrawal and the minimum payout on the firm's dashboard before you trade to the target; those two settings, not the split, are what turn a payout into a delay.

Strengths and trade-offs

What it does well

  • Widest challenge menu of the two: 1-step, 2-step, 3-step, instant funding, flex and Aqua Man, 2.5k to 400k
  • 90% profit split standard, upgradeable to 100% at checkout for life
  • 24 business-hour payout guarantee backed by an extra $1,000
  • Crypto CFDs tradeable 24/7 with zero commission
  • Explicit public rule set, including the 5-minute news-profit cap

What costs you

  • Dedicated crypto product (crypto.aquafunded.com) still shows 'Coming Soon'
  • Crypto leverage capped at 1:2 and crypto counts as one of five asset classes, not a crypto-first offering
  • 3% processing fee on every payout
  • First two payouts on 100k+ accounts capped at $10,000 each
  • No KYC policy published anywhere, which is unusual for a firm this size
  • No published KYC policy, so you cannot check before paying what documents will be demanded

Who it suits, and who it does not

Suits: Traders who want a big choice of challenge formats, large per-account size and fast documented payouts, and who will trade crypto alongside FX.

Does not suit: Crypto-only traders wanting high crypto leverage or a crypto-specific programme.

How it compares with the rest of the list

At the $25k size AquaFunded sits at $194.93 for its 1-Step Standard account with a split of 90% (100% with add-on) and a 6% max trailing, 3% daily drawdown (1-Step Standard). The firms that undercut it charge less for the challenge but usually ask for a tighter drawdown or a one-step target, and the firms that publish wider room to trade ask more up front. If the deciding factor for you is the split rather than the fee, read the side-by-side comparison before choosing.
