Review

Funded Trader Markets review: crypto challenge from $20

Undercuts almost everyone on price, with $20 entry and $300k accounts, and pays in crypto. Crypto itself is a CFD line at low leverage, so the cheap ticket buys a forex product.

Every figure below comes from Funded Trader Markets's own published terms, linked at the foot of this page. We have not traded this account and this is not a rating out of five.

Every plan, its own rules

Funded Trader Markets sells three models and the rules are not interchangeable.

Funded Trader Markets: target, drawdown, daily limit and split, plan by plan
PlanProfit targetMax drawdown Daily lossSplitEntry fee
1 Step Nitro 10% 6% from the highest recorded balance, fixed at the initial size once 6% profit is reached 4% of the initial balance (3% on the 300k) 90% on the first $10,000 of profit, then 80% $20 at $5,000
2 Step Plus 8% then 5% 10%, fixed to the initial balance throughout 4% of the initial balance 70/30 $98 at $25,000
Instant Standard No target 5% trailing from the peak balance 3%, fixed to the initial balance 50/50 rising to 80/20 by the fourth reward $29 at $5,000

Each of the three states its own daily loss limit beside the total drawdown.

Entry fee is the cheapest size each plan is sold at, the same rows the ladder above prices. Every figure is the firm's own wording, read from the plan pages linked under Sources.

The rules that decide whether you pass

Funded Trader Markets sells 1-step / 2-step / instant challenges; on its $25k account, hit 10% (1 Step Nitro) before breaching 6% overall trailing, 4% daily (1 Step Nitro). Leverage is BTC/ETH 1:5, other crypto 1:2, FX 1:100 and the account is traded on MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, TradeLocker. 76 instruments including roughly 40 crypto CFDs are available, so the instrument set is broad enough that position sizing matters more than the rules do.

The account is issued but read-only until verification clears, and must be completed within two weeks of passing.

“Upon receiving a Simulated Funded account at Funded Trader Markets, you must upload the necessary documents for KYC verification. All Simulated Funded Accounts will remain in READ-ONLY mode until the KYC process is complete.”

Two practical warnings for this structure. A 6% overall trailing, 4% daily drawdown (1 Step Nitro) is tighter than it looks: a 3% overnight move on a large position is normal in crypto and can end the account in one candle. And the profit split of Up to 90% applies to profit you withdraw, not to the account balance, so plan the first payout before you start rather than after you pass.

Payouts and verification

How it pays

Rails: USDC / USDT / BTC / ETH / SOL / Rise

Timing: 24-hour guarantee, average around 20 minutes

Rewards are on demand after five trading days, split 80% on instant programmes and up to 90% on the 1-step.

Before you request

Verification: Before activation - The account is issued but read-only until verification clears, and must be completed within two weeks of passing.

Restricted: Cuba, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, North Korea, Russia, United States (MT5 and cTrader only)

Support: what this firm publishes about its own support - channels, stated hours, any response-time claim in its own words.

Confirm the network for any USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH or SOL withdrawal and the minimum payout on the firm's dashboard before you trade to the target; those two settings, not the split, are what turn a payout into a delay.

Strengths and trade-offs

What it does well

  • Cheapest entry in this set at $20 for a 5k one-step
  • Crypto CFDs trade at weekends with no swap and no crypto commission
  • Fast rewards, with a stated 24-hour guarantee

What costs you

  • Consistency rules apply: 50% in evaluation and 45% funded
  • Drawdown trails on the 1-step and instant programmes
  • Crypto leverage is only 1:5 on BTC and 1:2 on altcoins

Who it suits, and who it does not

Suits: Cost-sensitive traders who also want weekend crypto CFDs.

Does not suit: Crypto-first traders who need meaningful leverage on coins.

How it compares with the rest of the list

At the $25k size Funded Trader Markets sits at $59 for its 1 Step Nitro account with a split of Up to 90% and a 6% overall trailing, 4% daily drawdown (1 Step Nitro). The firms that undercut it charge less for the challenge but usually ask for a tighter drawdown or a one-step target, and the firms that publish wider room to trade ask more up front. If the deciding factor for you is the split rather than the fee, read the side-by-side comparison before choosing.
